CMJR 488 - Media Law and Responsibilities5 credit hours
A study of the laws and court decisions and legal philosophies that relate to journalists and individuals who use various social media to inform and communicate with the public. There is an emphasis on libel, privacy, and copyright. Prerequisite: Senior Standing and CMJR 205, CMJR 225, CMJR 245, CMJR 208, CMJR 210, CMJR 220, CMJR 300, CMJR 308 or Permission.
