PSYC 322 - Growth and Development

5 credit hours
Study of life-span development from earliest development forward, including infancy, childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, middle age, old age, and death and dying. The biological, cognitive, personality, social, emotional, and health aspects of development will be covered.  Emphasis is on reflection of how developmental issues influence life experience, as well as critical evaluation of research and theory within psychology. Students will learn to evaluate developmental themes in contexts such as service, community life, and parenting.  Prerequisite: PSYC 120 or equivalent.
