MUSC 150 - Music Theory I

First course in the first year of music theory. The first-year theory sequence covers music theory through species counterpoint, triads and inversions, principles of chord progression, non-harmonic tones, harmonic rhythm, analysis and the harmonization of bass lines and melodies. Prerequisite: MUSC 100 ( winter).
