MATH 411 - Introduction to Abstract Algebra I

An introduction to the theory of groups, including cyclic groups, permutation groups, homomorphisms, factor groups, and direct products. The course ends with a brief study of rings and fields. Prerequisite: a grade of C or better in MATH 310. (fall of even years)
