EVST 482 - Current Issues in Environment and Society5 credit hours Interdisciplinary inquiry into a contemporary issue of particular significance. Students learn about natural-science principles underlying the issue, and consider its significance for humans and human societies. Seminar format emphasizing student-led critical analysis of readings. Assignments include regular brief papers and major research project. Prerequisite: junior standing or higher. Open to majors and non-majors.
