CPSC 315 - Languages and Computation

5 credit hours
  Common features, organization and tradeoffs of modern programming languages including semantics, garbage collection and memory management, and type systems. Theoretical foundations of languages and computation including regular expressions, language classification, grammars, and finite state automata. Programming using scripting languages and functional languages. Prerequisite: C (2.00) or better in CPSC 250 and either MATH 310 or a C (2.00) or better in CPSC 210. (spring)
