Biochemical methods of protein expression, analysis and purification including spectroscopy, chromatography, gel electrophoresis and antibody-based assays. Independent design and execution of a protein purification project. Emphasis on development of research skills, scientific writing, and critical thinking. Prerequisites: CHEM 242 or CHEM 347; CHEM 319. Co-requisite: CHEM 454. (fall)
