BIOL 415 - Fundamentals of Immunology5 credit hours Humoral and cellular immune systems; clonal selection theory; antigen and antibody properties and interactions, immunological diversity; autoimmune diseases; AIDS; cancer immunology; monoclonal antibodies and immunotherapy. Four lectures and one two-hour discussion per week. Prerequisites: BIOL 161/171 (with C- or better), 200/210; CHEM 337 or CHEM 232; or instructor approval. (fall)
