STMA 553 - Art of Spiritual Direction Practicum I Students must be accepted into the Spiritual Direction specialization and attend an orientation prior to the course. This course begins a two quarter practicum in the art of spiritual direction. The sequence (STMA 553 and 554) combines two components: 1) an internship in the practice of spiritual direction and 2) a weekly class. Each participant offers direction for at least two people. Students present verbatim in the context of a specific supervisory process. They also engage in discussion of readings, peer evaluation, and role playing. Prerequisites: STMM 557, STMM 558, STMM 559, STMM 561, STMM 571 and STMA 561, STMA 570.3
