STMA 536 - Synoptic Gospels
Students gain expertise in interpreting the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke by considering: their major themes, composition and points of view in proclaiming Jesus, the historical communities for which they were written, and the challenges they present us. Special emphasis is placed on the Gospels as stories, requiring literary analysis and appreciation. Prerequisite: STMM 5273
