FINC 560 - Business Valuation


Focuses on methods used for business valuation. Various methods will be discussed including discounted cash flow techniques, multiples, and an introduction to real option analysis. Emphasis is on developing the required information for valuation from financial statements and other publicly available sources of information. The course will emphasize the valuation of technology firms and will also discuss issues related to valuing privately held firms. Prerequisite: MBA 515. 132 3
