Objectives

The Seattle University Education Abroad Office connects students with transformative global experiences that enhance their academic, personal, and professional growth. Rooted in the Jesuit tradition, our programs foster intellectual curiosity, intercultural competence and humility, and leadership in an increasingly interconnected world.

Students can choose from a variety of education abroad programs - quarter-long, semester-long, or short-term summer courses- across diverse locations and disciplines. Faculty-led programs combine on-campus coursework with immersive international field study, offering a dynamic way to engage with global issues firsthand. To explore programs and eligibility requirements, consult with the Education Abroad Office or visit www.seattleu.edu/academics/education-abroad/ .

For current policy governing education abroad participation, visit Education Abroad Policy and Procedures on the Registrar’s webpage. University approval is required for all programs, and students must complete required pre-departure steps and be in good academic and conduct standing to be eligible for participation. Some programs have additional eligibility requirements, and trave to locations with a U.S. Department of State Level 3 or 4 Travel Advisory is not permitted without an approved petition.
